Did anyone actually ever use a cookie jar for keeping cookies? Wouldn’t they go stale? This clown would be enough to keep my hand out of the cookie jar that’s for sure. It’s no wonder I was the only bidder at auction.

His skipping rope hangle comes off. Y’know, incase of emergency. Marked ‘Japan’ underneath.

And on writing this post I now realise I have at least 6 cookie jars, and not a single cookie.

In his painted yellow coat and green tie, this wonky-eyed owl cookie jar looks pretty friendly. Or stoned. I’m not sure which. Simply marked ‘Japan’ underneath.

If there’s ever a cookie jar to behold it is this. Lovely red birdies in a tree with their spaghetti nest. And an acorn atop the lid. Soooo beautiful.

This barn cookie jar is simple but cute. Stickered underneath ‘Gempo’. Made in Japan.

Pet Shop Cookie Jar

Who doesn’t love a cookie jar? Especially one that doubles as a pet shop, complete with a waving cat. I can’t remember where I found this beauty, but it’s in good company at home with some other fabulous cookie jars. Made in Japan.
