Clown Cookie Jar

Did anyone actually ever use a cookie jar for keeping cookies? Wouldn’t they go stale? This clown would be enough to keep my hand out of the cookie jar that’s for sure. It’s no wonder I was the only bidder at auction.

His skipping rope hangle comes off. Y’know, incase of emergency. Marked ‘Japan’ underneath.

And on writing this post I now realise I have at least 6 cookie jars, and not a single cookie.

Owl Cookie Jar

In his painted yellow coat and green tie, this wonky-eyed owl cookie jar looks pretty friendly. Or stoned. I’m not sure which. Simply marked ‘Japan’ underneath.

Dog / Girl Egg Cup

She has dogs ears and a girls face with a funny little body. I’m not really sure what she is, apart from being an egg cup. Made in Japan. Cute.

These sweet little fishies came to me from a friends Grandmothers garage sale. In absolutely perfect condition, they are a delightful set of S&P shakers. On the reverse is the ‘Grizelle Japan’ sticker.

Pet Shop Cookie Jar

Who doesn’t love a cookie jar? Especially one that doubles as a pet shop, complete with a waving cat. I can’t remember where I found this beauty, but it’s in good company at home with some other fabulous cookie jars. Made in Japan.

Beer, beer, beer! Salt and Pepper. And Beer. Must say I particularly like the poem. Makes a lot of send is you ask me. A recent acquisition from an op-shop.

Stickers on the base are ‘Grizelle Japan”.

Booby Barrel Mug

Wow, what a mug! I found this corker at a local garage sale. How ANYONE would part with it I cannot understand. Her boobs swing to and fro while you drink, and her hand poised daintily over her lady bits. Brilliant! Why aren’t all mugs like this?

Markings on the bottom of the mug are ‘PATENT. T.T.’ Made in Japan. 1960′s I am led to believe, and others seem to be going for quite a pretty penny on ebay. I won’t tell you I paid 4 bucks.

An unassuming op-shop in the Hunter Valley is where uncovered these beauties. Stamped ‘Superior Made in Japan’ underneath. I love them. I love them so much.
